Saga is our beloved dog rescued by Bali Animal Welfare Association after he was found with his legs broken abused in the bottom of a ravine. He had hypothermia, seizures, & was in excruciating pain. When his rescuers arrived, Saga didn’t even resist. He knew that he was finally safe.
We fostered him after seeing him in the vet clinic during one of our own rescue missions & we instantly brought him home with us.
Saga was such a wonderful dog always helping our new fosters and rescues to feel safe. He recognizes how scared he was at first and applies that to helping each and every rescue dog we come across to give them the same opportunity.
Now I know that seems like a lot of credit to put on a dog, but trust me, Saga really does give his all to these rescues. From sharing his food, being gentle, bringing them his toys and bed, to simply giving them space or cuddles when needed, he transforms the lives of our rescues.
In the beginning, Saga was aggressive. He bit us many times and wanted nothing to do with us. If a dog approached him he would panic, sharing was definitely not an option and neither were cuddles. To see how far he has come is astonishing and we couldn’t be more proud of Saga.
Now Saga is happy, healthy, and has taken over as the CEO at The Dogs Of Bali. He will continue to help dogs in need & has requested his salary in his favorite bones 🦴🤍
